Description |
The ureter extends from the renal pelvis to the urinary bladder. The epithelium is transitional and lies on a collagenous lamina propria (see also 153_10_1). The smooth muscle is in two layers: inner longitudinal, and outer circular (see 153_10_1). The whole structure is surrounded by an adventitial layer. Note the mucosa. UCLA Histology Collection. |
