Abstract In this taped monologue, Cooley (b. 1913) recalls growing up in the Millcreek area of Salt Lake County, a rural lifestyle, working with Wallace Stegner at the I and M Furniture Store, Stegner dating his sister, and his mission for the LDS Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
