FEES 799 twenty dollars Provided That in cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdicAttorneys tion where the libelant recovers less than fifty dollars the docket fee of proctors his proctor shall be but ten dollars In cases at law where judgment is rendered withouta jury ten dollars In cases at law when the cause is discontinued five dollars For scire facias and other proceedings on recognizance five dollars For each deposition taken and admitted in evidence incause two dollars and fifty cents For services rendered in cases removed fromdistrict toa circuit court by writ of error or appeal five dollars For examination bydistrict attorney beforejudge or commissioner of persons charged with crime five dollarsday for the time necessarily employed For each day of his necessary attendance ina court of the United States on the business of the United States when the court is held at the place of his abode five dollars and for his attendance when the court is held elsewhere five dollars for each day of the term For traveling from the place of his abode to the place of holding any court of the United States in his district or to the place of any examination beforejudge or commissioner ofperson charged with crime ten cents amile for going and ten centsmile for returning When an indictment for crime is tried beforejury andconviction is had the district attorney may be allowed in addition to the attorneys fees herein provided counsel fee in proportion to the importance and difficulty of the cause not exceeding thirty dollars 5424 825 There shall be taxed and paid to every district attorney Fees in reve tWwo per centum upon all moneys collected or realized in any suit or proceedBuS cases and ings arising under the revenue laws and canducted by him in which the ofiicial bonds United States isparty which shall be in lieu of all costs and fees in such proceeding 5425 826 No fee shall accrue to any district attorney on any bond Fees on bonds left with him for collection or insuit commenced on any bond for the J5hes not al renewal of which provision is made by law unless the party neglects to apply for such renewal for more than twenty days after the maturity of the bond 5126 827 Whendistrict attorney appears by direction of theof qisSecretary or Solicitor of the Treasury on hehalf of any officer of the frict attorney Tevenue in any suit against such officer for any act done by him or for the rovenus recovery of any money received by him and paid into the treasury in the Mcers performance of his official duty he shall receive such compensation as may be certified to be proper by the court in which the suit is brought and approved by the Secretary of the Treasury CLERKS 3427 5828 summons capias FEES For issuing and entering every process commission Clerkfees execution warrant attachment or other writ except WIIt of venire orsummons or subpeena forwitness one dollar For issuingwrit of summons or subpena twenty-five cents For filing and entering every declaration plea or other paper ten cents For administering an oath or affirmation except tojuror ten cents For taking an acknowledgment twenty-five cents For taking and certifying depositions to file twenty cents for each folio of one hundred words
