Abstract |
In April 1989, Southern Company Services signed a 3.5-year contract with DOE-PETC for generic engineering development of an advanced physical fine coal cleaning technology known as selective agglomeration. This technology offers the potential for significantly higher pyritic sulfur removal (over 90%) than conventional coal cleaning (30-50%) while maintaining high Btu recovery (90% and over). |
