Description Hippopotamus in cage is a part of the circus parade which came to Salt Lake City around the turn of the century (1900). Building in the background is the Hall of Relics, a temporary structure erected on the southwest corner of Main & South Temple for the Pioneer Jubilee of 1897. Changes of the statue in the front of the building, etc. lead us to believe it was a few years later.
