| Description |
Rio Grande Wreck Train tool car X-3339 in South Salt Lake in 1987. Car was used to carry tools, cables, etc. for train used to pick up derailments. Car converted by the railroad from a mail and baggage car. Used on passenger trains. Car had facilities for a railway post office for the sorting and transport of mail en route on trains (a practice now discontinued since the 1960s). |
