Grant (apostle in LDS Church) and his three companoins held the solemn service in which Mr. Grant offered the prayer opening the door for preaching the Mormon gospel in Japan, Sept. 1, 1901. Located on the south slope of the pine covered hills just south of Yokahama. L. to R. : Horace S. Ensign, Alma O. Taylor, Apostle Herber J. Grant, and Louis A. Kelch J.G. McDonald Coll.
