Description Minerva Proctor standing at the entrance of an old family hotel in Antimony, Utah.
Comment Antimony was settled in 1873. Original settlers earmarked coyote pups upon arrival and the town was orignally called Coyote. In 1880 antimony mining began in the area, making the area a ranching and mining community. In 1920 the name of the town was changed to Antimony.
