| Description |
Intermountain Power Project (I.P.P.) aluminum hopper car at Provo, Dec., 1991. These cars like 157 were specially built for service between the coal mines in Carbon & Emery Counties to the large I.P.P. generating station near Delta, Utah. Built by Ortner Car Co., they feature 8 air actuated bottom doors to rapidly unload their cargo of over 100 tons of coal. Donor & Photog.: Mike B. Davis. |
