Description |
Grantsville Soil Conservation District (Utah). Tooele County. This land was in the heart of the original dust bowl in the early 1930's. Many acres have been seeded and crested wheat grass will established on this 30,000 acre dust area. The Grantsville District is still reseeding areas on which a stand was not obtained. This area has been grazed during the winter months. The cattle are to be moved from this area in May, 1958. Photo by Ralph H. Felker, USDA-Soil Conservation Service.
