Description Applauded by hundreds of enthusiastic listeners, turned out to view Vernal's new hotel. In his speech he told about the untold wealth of the Basin because of the natural resourses found here and that Vernal would someday be the capital of the eastern Utah empire. The hotel, by reason of its modernity, is drawing favorable comments from the many tourists who registered. Mayor B.H. Stringham and Governor Herbert Maw were among the speakers at the Opening.
