In 1891, George Adams wondered why we could not have a brass band in our community. He said, "We should be pleased to hear from those wishing to assist in accomplishing this end." In 1893 the Adam's Coronet Band was formed and began practicing. In 1900 a band wagon was built and uniforms were bought. The bank members were fondly called "the boys". The band performed for many occasions and was always part of the local parades. Those in the band were, George E. Adams, S. P. Hansen, Richard Jensen, J. Couple, L. Sorenson, E. F. Harmston, George Bartlett, Leslie AShton, A. C Emert, H Meadows, J Merkley, Curtis Hadlock, Stanley Ashton, H. Belcher, Bart Mowrey, M. Pope, W. HIgley, J. Pope, W. Tucker, J. Ritter, and Ashley Bartlett. |
