Brent Boren, owner of the Gateway Saloon and Social Club, is willing to share his knowledge about the antiques that are displayed in the Gateway Saloon. Some of those antiques include a Cannon pot-bellied stove that belonged to his Grandmother, Kate Lopez. It came from Ft. Duchesne and was there in 1887 when the soldiers were there. A small cook stove that came from the Horseshoe Bend road stop. This item belonged to Hen Lee. A scale that was used at Fort Duchesne. It was used to weigh rood rations. The J.C. Penny's National Cash Register sits behind the bar. There are old telephones, saddles. It is a museum that many have visited while they enjoyed a drink. |
