Description |
Charlie Neal was convinced that oil could be found in the Uinta Basin. C.J. Neal began drilling oil in 1912 in the Dog Valley area with Mr. W.L. Showalter in charge and Matt Winn as the driller. After years of hard work and three wells dry, oil was discovered in the Redwash field. It was proved to be a rich deposite of commercial oil. This is one of the Neal oil rig in the Rangley Field. Several cars are parked around it and a second oil rig is visible in the background. |
