Description |
Samuel Halsem was born in Nauvoo, Illinois, on March 2, 1851. His parents, John S. and Martha Hamer Haslem were driven from their homes and came to Utah in 1852 and settled in Salt Lake City. He married Margaret Elizabeth Huffman on July 20, 1887. The family came to the Uinta Basin in 1893. He lived in Naples for about two years and then was able to purchase a farm from the Burton Brothers. They had nine children and spent their time in Jensen,Utah. |
