Virtus F. and Caroline McConkie

Virtus McConkie was born in Burton County, Kansas on September 1, 1868. His parents were George Wilson and Susan Smith McConkie. They moved to Utah in 1883. He married Caroline E. Walker in the Manti Temple on November 14, 1888. They came to the Ashley Valley in 1890. Their first child, Virtus F. Jr. died the following February. He died February 22, 1920.They had five more children. Caroline was born November 16, 1869 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Her parents are Hensen and Caroline Farnsworth Walker. She died January 9, 1951 and the couple is buried in the Maeser Cemetery.
