Building blocks for developing a child friendly city (UNICEF Child Friendly City Secretariat)

This framework document outlines the `building blocks' for a Child Friendly City-structures and activities of government which are necessary to engage children's active involvement, to ensure a children's rights perspective in all relevant decision-making and equal rights of access to basic services. Contents include a framework for developing a philosophical and government approach to children's rights, the establishment of a child friendly legal framework and Children's Rights Strategy and coordinating mechanism, establishing independent advocacy for children, and establishing a budget and regular State of City's Children report.
