Libraries continue to house extensive collections of hardcopy books and journals. They now serve also as centers for the effective use of the new technologies. UALC supports the renovation and construction of this new generation of libraries. The J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah ‘s proposed "information commons" exemplifies this collaborative learning environment bringing together state of the art technologies with highly trained librarians and technical staff.
