Distance education in FY97 students and students in smaller institutions now have unprecedented access, • 247,928 recorded visits each week to significantly improving the quality of UALC libraries education. Deseret News Budget Request - $100,000 Academic Pioneer The college and university libraries are building a collection of electronic publications that are accessible to students and faculty in higher education. Students in nearly any town or county can use this online library at their convenience, contributing to the quality of education. Utah Article Delivery Service (UTAD) Introduced in January, UTAD is an innovative service designed to provide enhanced access to the print collections of the college and university libraries. The service employs telefax and delivery service with the objective of fulfilling a request in 24 hrs. UTAD is a major advance toward the goal of a statewide library, serving all students and faculty in higher education.
