Description In this letter to Washaki, Brigham Young strongly suggested that Waskaki and his people should farm, build houses and "settle down" and set up an education system so that the "young" could learn to "read and write." Young told Chief Washaki to pray to the "Great Spirit" about all of these instructions, and then to "act as the Great Spirit dictates."
