Description North American Indian (Navajo) men and women pose on horseback on a dirt street near wood frame and brick commercial buildings in the business district of Telluride (San Miguel County), Colorado. The women wear their hair in buns and have on blouses, skirts, moccasins and turquoise and silver jewelry. One man wears a headband, the rest wear flat brimmed hats, they have on shirts, some wear vests or jackets. Some of the men wear turquoise and silver jewelry and carry prayer sticks. A white man stands near the Navajos. He wears a suit and a hat. American flags and bunting decorate the buildings.
