| Description |
One silver concha belt with sun pieces that have turquoise and onix accents. Under that is a carved leather belt with a silver Hopi buckle. Next to the leather belt are three extra silver buckles. Under that is another leather carved belt with colored designs on it and a silver buckle. next to this leather belt are an additional three buckles with silver and turquoise designs on it. Under that is the fourth belt. A concha belt with silver pieces and a black leather strip. color. Members of the Hopi Silversmithing Guild produce and distribute a great variety of articles handcrafted from silver. Among the belts shown are examples of overlay, sand casting and inlaid turquoise. Hopi jewelry produces in the workshop of the Guild at Oraibi, Arizona and in the homes of the Guild members is, without question, of a standard of excellence seldom found among Indian silversmiths.
