Description Black and white interior photographs. "The Yei-Bet-Chai- The Yei, or Talking God, assumes his post to the left of the medicine man, at the western side of the medicine hogan. The sand painting is completed, the Blessing song has been sung. The medicine man will now deliver an oration on The Yei-bet-chai Way of Life (this picture and the accompanying one of the medicine man singing the Blessing chant are the only pictures ever permitted in the medicine hogan during the performance of the Yei-bet chai ritual). No attribution for the quotes
