Show apparent and it was pressed into use almost at once. In connection with the St. Christopher's Club of local teenagers, a choir was formed which numbered 30 members, Navajo and white, children and staff. We began by singing the Mass of St. Isaac Jogues (familiar to all here) which had been adapted to Indian melodies several years ago by Father Liebler. A drum was added in keeping with the original settings; hynms and other parts of the service were added and practiced weekly. At the Christmas Mass it was evident that our little choir was well trained and would be able to share this priceless heritage with other; missions and parishes upon invitation. Little did we reali~e the scope of our dreams! On February 9th we were the honored guests of St. Barnabas Parish and Father Anson Dean Cole, of Cortez, Colorado. The church was packed and we were treated most royally for our overnight stay. The Club was able, through proceeds of a Navajo supper earlier at the Mission, to treat themselves to a movie on Saturday / r Cortez, Colorado night. All were overnight guests in parishioners' homes and an understanding and loving exchange was had by all. Church women served meals and hosted a Sunday breakfast at the Hotel Cortez. Flushed with success but hardly believing our eyes, we were surprised to find an invitation in the mail a short time later to sing at two services at St. Mark's Cathedral, Salt Lake City, on the Sunday after Easter. A caravan of four cars was dutifully organized and again our trip far exceeded expectations. Salt Lake City An attendance record was set at the Cathedral, we were treated to a movie, a tour of the city and were honored guests in homes of members. And now for the biggest news of all. The Choir of St. Christopher's Mission has been invited to sing at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on May 10th for American Indian Day, held in conjunction with the American Indian Capital Conference on Poverty!! Could we go? We believed we could. And now, plans are underway for this trip. Some transportation has been provided, but much more will be required. We call upon all our friends and readers to aid us in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the children. That they will perform well has already been proven. We now know that we may even have a chance to sing at and tour the New York World's Fair. The very idea itself appalls us but many have come to our aid and surely many more who read of this excursion will do so. We hope to see our many friends in the Washington, D.C., area there and we'll bring musical greetings from Navajoland! Our bluff above the mission now sprouts a tall aerial that reflects the springtime sun. Believing that we must always provide best aspects that our way of life presents, in order that proper choices can be made, we have installed television. Yes, it will take awhile to learn to live with this innovation, but we believe that time, patience and discipline will bring ultimate enjoyment and pleasure to our isolated area. May we have success. Would you help us to help the Post Office to help you? Please use the envelope to restate your address with proper ZIP CODE. Also we have found that trading stamps and Betty Crocker coupons help us to acquire needed cooking utensils and tools. So when sending us your zip code, please try to include a few if you can. New House Below you will find an announcement of great privilege for us at the mission. Dickie Maryboy and Sally Frese have found a love here that will unite them in marriage and into the Mission family as a family. We have begun a building project to provide a house for their use by August 1 where they may live as a family in our community. They will surely welcome a personal congratulation from each of our readers. Please remember them in your prayers. You may deSignate your contributions to the purpose of this house if you desire. Surely this presents a crowning achievement of a great vision which began to be realized here 21 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Albert F.
