Dear Mr, McDaniels: Please notify all the Indians of the Ute Mountain tribe that a council has been called with them to be held in the assembly room of the Towaoc School, April 27, 1928, at 10 o'clock A. M. The purpose of this council is to obtain an expression of the majority of the tribe as to their choice of an attorney to be employed by them to present their claims before the proper authorities, several attorneys having been authorized by the Commissioner at their request and upon the desire of the Indians to negotiate a contract with the tribe.
