This structure (NBI Number 3D 632) is a concrete-cast-in-place freeway interchange bridge that conveys I-15 over UT Highway 144. Three cylindrical T-beam pylons placed on either side of Highway 144 (six cylindrical T-beam pylons in total) support a concrete bridge deck resting on two narrow concrete abutments and strengthened by six concrete rib girders. The top of the bridge deck is surfaced with asphalt paving. Poured concrete traffic barriers line both sides of the bridge deck. The bridge's concrete elements exhibit large sections of delamination and spalling, efflorecence, etc. 5 HISTORY & SIGNIFICANCE Write a brief history of the property, if known, focusing primarily on the original or principal owners & any significant events or other people (besides owners) associated with it. Use continuation sheets as necessary. This bridge structure represents an early but common example of a US Interstate Highway bridge. No evidence indicates that this bridge represents an important example of bridge design, engineering, or construction or that the bridge possesses a direct and important association with historical events or trends.
