Multaqa al-abhur

Textbook on Ḥanafī fiqh, based on the materials of Qaddūrī's Mukhtaṣar, and other school texts. The additional quires contain: 1- miscellaneous fragments and notes; 2- a fragment of an anonymous text on a question of semiotics in the Qurʼān (dāll and madlūl); 3- a fragment of an anonymous text on taklīf; 4- two fragments on uṣūl; 5 - an extract from a work of fiqh; 6- a short biography of the author (al-Ḥalabī); 7- an extract on "ādāb al-muftī wa-al-mustaftī; 8- a paragraph with biographical information on al-Ḥalabī; the last quire contains: 1- two folios with questions of furūʻ; 2- unidentified occasional verses . Incipit : "wa-baʻd, fa-yaqūl ... Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm al-Ḥalabī: qad saʼalanī baʻḍ ṭālibī al-istifādah an ajmaʻ lahu kitāban yashtamil ʻalá masāʼil al-Qudūri ..."; Colophon : "hādhā ākhir Multaqá al-abḥur ... tammat (sic) al-kitāb bi-ʻawn Allāh sanat 1107 fi shahr Dhī al-Ḥijjah fī awsāṭ yawm ithnayn 15."; Small, clear naskh with rubrications; borders in red; contemporary table of contents on four folios, complete with folio numbers; bound with one additional quire at each end, containing ownership notes and miscellaneous text in careless Maghribī; wormholes throughout, but without loss of text; half leather binding with marbled paper lining and flaps; block largely detached, severely damaged at upper edge.
