Address: 3418 S Echo Road, Echo, UT. Built in 1876 as a Presbyterian church, it soon came to house a public school. The Presbyterians sold it to the school district in 1880, and a Congregational church used it for church services from 1882 until 1914. Latter-day Saints began worship services in 1905, purchased the building in 1914, and used it as a ward meetinghouse until 1963, when declining population led to dissolution of the Echo Ward. A nonprofit group purchased it in 1983 and preserved it for use as a community center. |
