Description Totally painted yellow cedar Northwest Coast Moon Mask, in a traditional Kwakwaka'wakw style. Colors include red, black, marine blue, and white. A blue split ovoid eye mask surrounds large round abalone inlayed eyes edged in black with white oval pointed rims. The intricately arranged generally red and blue motifs include concentric ovoids, U?s, split U?s, humped eyebrows and Y?s outlined in black. The point of the flared red nostrils meets the point of the open red protruding oval lips. A; stylized form is painted on the bottom of the chin. Inked on back: "Tom Patterson - Northern Kwa Giulth - Moon Mask - 12/1987 - Yellow Cedar.". Depth 10.48, Width 36.83, Length 38.1 Centimeters
