| Description | Description: Large Northern Paiute Mountain willow open plain twined conical burden basket. It has 50.5 cm long double support rods extending halfway around the inside about 5/8 of the way up from the bottom. The warp rods are folded back at the top and included in the last splint weft twined row. A large rod is then lashed to this row. The top 1/3 of the basket has been mended (glued) because of shipping damage. Circa 1890. |
