Description Cavernous hemangiomas are the most common benign orbital lesions in adults. They are often asymptomatic, but may present with proptosis, diplopia, vision deficits, and eye movement restrictions. CT scan shows round, well-defined margins if lesion is intraconal and pear-shaped lesions at orbital apex. MRI shows isointense lesions to muscle on T1-weighted images and hyperintense lesions to muscle on T2-weighted images. Surgical treatment is indicated for worsening proptosis, vision decline, or significant visual field defects.
