| Description |
Alpha-Gal Syndrome (AGS) is a tick-bite associated, life-threatening IgE-mediated hypersensitivity reaction to galactosealpha-1,3-galactose, an oligosaccharide found in most mammalian meats and derivatives. Patients with AGS must adhere to a diet devoid of these mammalian products. We report here the first case of vision loss due to nutritional optic neuropathy in the setting of AGS. |
