A door over door is all there is on this port~on of the house. To the north of this is a frame square cabin with ship-lap siding, gable end chimney and a leanto. This house rests on fieldstone foundations. oa: ct 6 > a: o I- '" i Statement of Historical Significance: o o o o o Aboriginal Americans Agriculture Architecture The Arts Commerce o o o o o Communication Conservation Education Exploration / Settlement Industry o o o o o Military Mining Minority Groups Political Recreation o o o o Religion Science Socio-Humanitarian Transportation A woman named Hannah Frandsen Peterson is most closely associated with this cabin. Fir s t person to !fI '.m this property was Jonas Ostlund, then N.C. Peterson bought it in 1881. Hannah Peterson then got it in 1882. Hannah was the second wife of Lars Frandsen, who was killed by Indians, along with eight others being massacred. The incident happened in ~ldorado Canyon, Nevada. She then apparently became the second wife of Soren Peterson(although she'- i.a listed as Hansena Peterson). Whether she was N.C. Peterson's wife could not be determined from sources checked. In 1909, title search shows she sold the house to George Johnson, yet records also show she he ld it until 1936. Ronald Sylvester is the next person associated with this house having bought it from Sevier County in 1941. In 1944, Rice Windley bought the house, then sold it to Bryant and Dora Bushnell in 1945. Bryant Bushnell has owned it since then. ~ Site No .............::....:.=, /"'--"''-'_ __ 5S-5 1z o Street Address: Plat (J Name of Structure: T.
