Presented at the request of I.R.N.P. under the auspices of the College of Nursing Cont. Ed. Dept, Sally Yeomans, Nancy Davidson, Sr. Juliana & Joyce Cameron have partipitated two days · week over a five-week period, on a rotating basis. Thirty to forty nurses from a number of area hospitals have participated in clinical sessions, demonstrations nursing rounds and classes on care of the normal and ill neonate. * ** Newsletter - Edition 8 CONGRATULATIONS We hear by the "philodendron vine" that we have a new Grandmother at the College! Darlene Peay' s first grandchild was born January 3, and was named Brandon Ronald Peay. Brandon arrived weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches in length, with a sprinkling of red hair. At this point, baby and Grandmother are doing fine! Be what you are capable of becoming. NURSING STUDY GROUP The National Advisory Committee to the National Commission for the Study of Nursing & Nursing Education met Dec. 8, 19 71 in Chicago. Dean Mildred D. Quinn i a member of this committee. Final programs for the Price-Moab area in ContinuingEd. in Community Mental Health were held January 10th through January 21, 1972. These programs were supported by a grant from N. I.M.H. 50 people finished the year-long program which was divided into 4-20 hour sessions. Carol Malbone has been instructor for this program. Certificates were awarded. This program is beginning in Milford, Utah, in February with 30 nurses presently registered. A program The Nurse and the. Ella Wheeler Wilcox Personnel from Medgley Manor Nursing Home are participating in a pilot program in an attempt to assess the personnel needs for training programs related to patient care in nursing homes. |
