Show UNIVERSITY OF UTAH NURSING EDUCATION TiffiEE-YEAR OR DIPLOMA. PROGRAM Will you please examine this tentative plan for the 36 month class and clinical work and make the suggestions tm.t will help all of us in our thinking? A selected course is offered for student nurses of the two cooperating hospital schools of nursing, the St. Mark's and the Latter-Day Saints. The subjects suggested are to broaden the cultural and scientifio background of the young women so as to enable the students to adjust to the clinical nursing programs with greater adequacy in the hospital. This program may be applied to the Bachelor's degree in nursing. The first two quarters will be on the University campus, the next ten quarters (except vacations) at the Hospital School of Nursing selected by the students. The academic value of the three-year program will probably range between 100 and 110 quarter hours~ or between six and seven quarters of university work. Special counsel will be secured on the complete academic value.
