Money Dail Ogden Nursing at the University of Utah The College of Nursing building which will be dedicated education supported by federally appropriated funds. today is the culmination of the dreams and dedicated Throughout World War II student members of the efforts of many. A 1938 statewide survey recommending a science degree for undergraduate students. and registered nursing school at the University of Utah was implemented nurses. Since the first class received baccalaureate degrees in in 1941 with the establishment of a department of nursing 1952, 800 students have graduated from the program. A master's degree program in psychiatric nursing was begun are confident that the proposed enrollment for 1977-78 in 1958 and a graduate program in medical-surgical nursing of 600 undergraduate and 100 graduate students will be met in 1961. In 1965 graduate offerings were extended to and that those who are educated within these walls include the nursing of children, and maternal and newborn will make an outstanding contribution to nursing nursing including nurse midwifery.
