The system consists of several steel pipes and concrete boxes which convey the water under the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and into an elevated pipe which then carries the water across U.S. Highway 89 to Uintah. The concrete structure carrying water under the tracks has a date of 1929 stamped on the north facing side. This structure was put in by the Union Pacific Railroad to facilitate the passing of water down Spring Creek and into Uintah. The main portions of the system (concrete boxes and steel pipe) were not constructed until the last modification of the highway during the mid-1960's (Stuart, personal communication, 1991). Due to continual upgradings of the system over time, as pipe and other parts have deteriorated, the system is recommended ineligible to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).
