In 1953 it was gutted by fire. In 1971 it was retired and since that time it has become a place to store equipment. None of the original equipment is left. It also currently houses the electrical relaying for UP&L's 138,000 volt switch yard. The old building stands 30 feet high, and is 75 feet x 75 feet square. NEW POWER HOUSE SITE This site has been used by the LDS church for 110 years for farming. No buildings have ever been in existence on this ground. The new power house will be approximately 20 feet tall, 25 feet wide, and 50 feet long. The new power house will sit farther away from the road. The new power house will be built approximately 10 feet into the ground with approximately 10 feet above ground. The diversion structure and penstock will be refurbished to look as it did when originally built.
