Title Interpretation and analysis of three works for the Bassoon
Date 1958
Description The Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra in Bb, K. 191, by Mozart, is unique for several reasons. With this work, the bassoon is used for the first time in a fully solo capacity by a major composer; and this composition marks, for Mozart, the beginning of a facility in woodwind writing which was to lead to the most sublime orchestral scoring the world has over known.
