A Photomicrographic study of slip in gallium and in certain low melting gallium-indium alloys the production of ferro-silicon from copper reverberatory slag

While working on a research project sponsored by the U.S. Navy on the photolithography of the gallium-indium system, the writer became interested in the process of slip due to the striking appearance of innumerable slip bands in most of the photographs taken.
