Description Justin Wood (b. 1981) grew up in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. He spent his youth hiking, peak-bagging, and mountaineering in the Wasatch Mountain Range, before starting to rock climb with his family and high school friends. Justin enjoys the problem-solving aspect of climbing, especially bouldering. He majored in mathematics at the University of Utah and now works for Patagonia. Justin volunteered with the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance and contributed to the Joe's Valley assessment project. Justin recounts two memorable first ascents in Little Cottonwood Canyon and Joe's Valley, along with favorite links-ups and variations at the Hell Area in American Fork Canyon and boulders in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
