Eric DeCaria (b. 1974) was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. As a youth, Eric spent time hunting, fishing, skiing, and climbing. Eric moved to Moab in 1993 and worked as a climbing guide and carpenter. Eric quickly started soloing and developing routes and boulders in Mill Creek, The Horn, Black Table, Indian Creek, and other areas. Eric is known for his bold style in development and using minimal protection. Over the years Eric has gone on multiple international climbing expeditions to China, Tibet, India, and Pakistan. Eric now lives in Colorado with his family and continues to be a mountain athlete and carpenter. |
