Description This project explores the conflicts that arose during the development of the West General Plan for Salt Lake County. The objective of this research was to identify conflicts between stakeholders, explore the power dynamics within those conflicts and examine how planners at Salt Lake County navigated the conflicts towards the goal of sustainable development for western Salt Lake County. This research leans on ideas within planning theory and will be useful in helping planners identify and resolve conflicts within their own spheres of influence.
