A 106 review has been conducted. Your letter dated November 5, 1986 indicated your office felt that this building may be potentially eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Attached to this letter is a description of the work items to be funded by the Agency with Federal funds. All items are exterior items. We believe that the work, as described, will comply with the Secretary of Interior Standards. There will be no adverse impact on a historical building. Therefore we ask that you concurr with our finding of no effect. Your prompt response will be appreciated. Prepare exterior wood for pain~ (except shingles at gable ends) by hand-scraping and resecuring as needed. Replace any missing or severely damaged wood, in kind, to match existing, including window sill at east window. Appl y primer to all exposed wood. Paint to cover with good quality exterior grade white enamel paint. (Coordinate with windows #7 below) 2. Repoint damaged brick at west side with mortar compatible with existing. Paint brick to match existing where severely damaged, including mortar stripe. 3. Plaster over brick at rear addition foundation. 4. Remove and replace existing wood shingles at front gable end with new premium cedar square cut sidewall shingles. 5. Recover existing asphalt siding at rear addition with new T-lll siding, trim, paint, complete. 6. At entry stairs to upstairs unit, add one handrail, according to existing style, to allow for rail at 30" to 34" above nose of tread. 7. Replace windows in gable ends, two in front and two in back, with new white enamel aluminum, double pane windows. Requires replacing frame. Replace trim and sills only as needed. Window style should match existing size and style; six-over-one sash in front, one-over-one sash at rear. Includes all needed interior work. 8. Provide and install continuous aluminum raingutters at west side of house and rear addition. Downspouts as needed. Drain rear addition to driveway/street. 9. Provide and install white metal drip edge at all roof edges under newest layer of roofing. 10. Clear and grub for new asphalt drive and parking pad. Install fill as needed to slope from concrete borders at pad and drain down drive to street. Provide and install a 2" asphalt drive and pad over 2" roadbase, compacted and killed. Dimensions are 10' wide by about 130' long and a 42'6" x 31' parking pad. See attached plans. 11. Provide and install a new 10' flared concrete drive approach to replace existing.
