This thesis IS an annotated repertoire for the advanced student of the French horn. The compositions included are divided into four categories: (I) works for horn and piano; (2) works for horn and orchestra; (3) works for horns alone; and (4) studies and methods for the horn. Each composition is discussed with regard to its background, musical value, musical style, duration, technical problems, and level of difficulty. A short fist of references which can be beneficial In extending this repertoire is also included. |
