Stewart Waterfowl Refuge |
Identifier |

Subject |
Stewart Lake |
Spatial Coverage |
Vernal (Uath) |
Description |
A brush fire at Stewart's Lake Wildlife refuge burned over 70 acres of choice waterfowl and pheasant habitat lands. This unburned portion of the bird refuge shows how the ideal cover on the west side the lake normally appears. The marsh cover is extremely dry this time of the year. Waterfowl birds make their nests in this area and hatch their eggs. |
