Description Cerebral visual impairment (CVI) is one of the commonest causes of visual impairment in children and is often accompanied by neurologic comorbidities which pose challenges in assessing visual function. Uniform methods of assessment and generating management strategies are lacking. Validated caregiver questionnaires, such as the Insight Inventory have been proven useful in aiding clinicians with structured history taking and assessment of children's visual-motor and visual-perceptual deficits and providing practical habilitation strategies in the UK.
