Description It is commonly taught that the extraocular muscles are affected in thyroid eye disease (TED) in the following descending order: inferior rectus, medial rectus, superior rectus, lateral rectus, and superior oblique.1,2 However, with recent literature challenging this notion, we aimed to compare extraocular muscle involvement in TED using volumetric analysis.3,4
