Description Compressive optic neuropathy (CON) is a serious complication of thyroid eye disease (TED) caused by expansion of orbital soft tissues leading to compression and ischemia of the optic nerve. Failure to promptly recognize and treat CON may lead to permanent and irreversible loss of vision. Medial rectus (MR) and superior rectus-levator complex (SRC) volumes have been reported to be important predictors of CON in patients with TED, although previous studies have differed in their findings [1-3]. The purpose of this study is to evaluate orbital soft tissue volumes for predicting CON in patients with TED.
