Description Monitoring peripheral vision is crucial for diagnosing and managing patients with progressive optic neuropathies. Formal visual field testing is most commonly performed using an automated visual field system, frequently with the Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer (HVF). While HVF testing can be a barrier to care, particularly in low-resource settings, good home-monitoring tools do not currently exist. Allowing patients to monitor their vision at home may lead to earlier identification and treatment of vision loss progression. As such, we developed the Home Field Test (HFT), a computer-based screening tool.
